Straddling the site of past fruit orchards is envisioned a simple yet unique contemporary home. Though based on regional New England Vernacular the house has many subtle adjustments to its proportions, fenestration composition and detailing to suggest a more modern reinterpretation.  Its two wings represent the living zone and sleeping zone and act to mediant the grade while also creating a welcoming entry forecourt. A flat roof lower level wraps around the house creative a district contrast in shape and materials, while forming places for congregation both inside and out.
